Puno
is considered the Folkloric Capital of Peru. It also possesses an invaluable
wealth, in archaeological remains and historical monuments. By the margins of
Titicaca Lake, three cultures: the Aymará, Quechuan and the Spaniard were
consolidated. This caused a crossbreeding that is evident in recognized artistic
expressions. Puno is located at 3,827 m.a.s.l. Weather is moderated during
daytime and cold at nights. There are daily flights from Lima (2.15 hours
approx.).
