5 DAYS-4 NIGHTS PROGRAM
1st Day: Departure from Lima, Airport pick up , transfer to the hotel . Lunch.
At 2pm we will start the tour by going towards the “Incas’ Sacred Valley” and continue until we locate downstream the famous Urubamba river, with its mountain range, its snow-capped mountains and glaciers. When we reach the beginning of Piscacucho Incas’ Road known as the “82nd Kilometer”, we will meet “The Carriers”, indigenous of invaluable help to guide us in the trek. We will move on by the banks of Kusicacah River appreciating Patallacta, a big Inca agricultural center (2,600). Smooth walking with some small declinations. After noon, lunch will be ready. Once everybody has rested, the walk will continue up to Guayllabamba (3,000m) where we will camp the first night. Everything will be ready for our arrival. ( Includes: snack, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner).
3rd Day: Although we will be trudging, step by step we will penetrate in the humid Forest of the Mantaro; once we crossed it , we will be able to rest in Llullucchapampa (3700) and enjoy snack. The Puna or High Andean Zone starts here. After a while we will reach the opening of Warmihuañusca (4,198m). Then we will go down, observing a 3 level Waterfall. Finally, we will arrive to Pacasmayo (3,530m), a small sylvan valley where we will be camping and spend the night. (Includes: Breakfast, snack, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner).
This time, we will point to the second opening, less demanding than the first one. In the way we will stop in Runcuracay Tambo (3,660m) and cross two small lagoons (joined one on one) and will be able to appreciate the Andean snow-capped mountain and the vizcachas. Later, we will continue up to Wiñahuayna (2,650m), place of our third and last camp. To go there, we will use the Incas’ old road. Since there is less transit through this road, it will give us more opportunity to find some of the Sanctuary rare birds like the Cockerel of the Rocks or the Paujil. (All meals are included: breakfast, snack, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
5th Day:
After a brief walk,
we will arrive to Intipunko (2745m), to see Machu Picchu Sunrise. This place
will attract us because of its mysticism and nobility. After leaving our
backpacks in a secure place,
